‘HIMYM’ producers to create sitcom for Fox

After a fierce bidding war, Fox nabbed the next comedy from the How I Met Your Mother producers — a single camera laugher about three siblings who reconnect after their dad dies.
Carter Bays and Craig Thomas, along with Chris Harris, will exec produce a put pilot called The Goodwin Games for fall 2012 consideration. A put pilot comes with severe financial penalties if Fox doesn’t air it, which all but assures its pickup for next season.

And yes, Fox still has many shows yet to debut this season (tonight’s Terra Nova, for one!) but it, like the other broadcast nets, are already focused on next fall’s lineup.
