On Tuesday, Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer announced that the 23rd James Bond film is back on after being shelved in 2010 due to the studio’s cashflow troubles. Craig’s back as Agent 007 under the guidance of lensman Sam Mendes. Neal Purvis, Robert Wade, and John Logan will write the screenplay.
Bond’s last adventure came in 2008’s Quantum of Solace. The franchise had been on hold amid MGM’s financial troubles, with the company now trying to start over after filing for bankruptcy protection and restructuring last November.
The film will begin production later this year.
