Deck the halls with the screams of Sue Sylvester! The Glee cast is recording its first holiday album.
Glee: The Music, The Christmas Album -– which will be released on Nov. 16 –- will contain covers of 12 holiday songs, including “We Need A Little Christmas,” “O Christmas Tree,” “Jingle Bells,” and “O Holy Night,” according to Entertainment Weekly, who first reported the scoop on Monday.
The trade mag even spilled some details on which cast member will be belting out the healthy doses of holiday cheer. Chris Colfer and Darren Criss will duet on “Baby, It’s Cold Outside.” Lea Michele will go solo on “O Holy Night;” Cory Monteith, Mark Salling, and Kevin McHale are set to croon over “Jingle Bells;” while Matthew Morrison has been tapped to sing “O Christmas Tree.” Morrison’s Mr. Shuster will also duet with Grammy winner k.d. lang on the Dr. Seuss classic “You’re A Mean One, Mr. Grinch.”
The album will be released just three weeks ahead of this year’s eagerly-anticipated Glee Christmas special, airing Dec. 7.

Earlier this month, the cast of Glee shattered The Beatles’ record for appearances on the Billboard Hot 100 by a non-solo act. The “Lucy in The Sky With Diamonds” stars had held the record with 71 songs on the Hot 100, but after Glee’s top-rated Britney Spears tribute episode, the cast managed to surpass the Liverpool legends with 75 songs.
