Grey’s Anatomy’s Sara Ramirez is poised to make a splash at newsstands this week after posing in her underwear for the March cover of Latina Magazine.
On her award-winning ABC medical drama, Sara’s alter ego, Dr. Callie Torres, is going through enough soap opera drama to leave Erica Kane blushing. She’s having a baby with friend with benefits Dr. Mark “McSteamy” Sloan’s and working on rekindling her romance with lesbian lover Dr. Arizona Robbins. Still Ramirez says Grey’s fans would be surprised to know that her real life is almost as dramatic. (Tell us more!)
You’d never guess it by the way the Latin beauty stares seductively into the camera, but Sara after sometimes struggles with extreme body image issues and even bouts with depression.
“There’s a whole list of things you could worry about. Are you skinny enough? Talented enough? In all kinds of ways, I used to be really, really hard on myself,” the voluptuous brunette tells the mag.
Sara recalls one especially dark time when she had a difficult time getting out of bed and to go to the set of her hit ABC show.
“Somehow I managed to do it, but it wasn’t pretty….”
