Iron Man 2, starring Robert Downey, Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, and Mickey Rourke, topped the weekend box office for the second week in a row — pouncing on the debut of Russell Crowe’s Robin Hood at theaters across North America.
Russell will not be pleased.
Iron Man 2 took in $53 million to take the top slot, according to early estimates. The superhero film has been the No. 1 movie for two weekends in a row and has grossed $212,160,000 at the domestic box office. The action-adventure film Robin Hood, directed by Ridley Scott, took in $37.1 million for the second slot.
