Last summer, production on the 23rd installment in the Bond series was put on hold indefinitely this year as the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) film studio fell into a financial crisis. Now that the firm has filed for bankruptcy and plans a massive restructuring of its finances, film projects previously put on ice can now go ahead, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Luckily for fans of Everyone’s Favorite Secret Agent, MGM executives say the next Bond film is a high priority.
Daniel Craig is expected to return as Bond in late 2012.
