Twi-Hards can’t take the heat!
A trailer for the eagerly-awaited follow-up to last year’s low-budget horror hit Paranormal Activity has proven too much for the Twilight fans who pour into theaters by the hundreds for a healthy dose of vampires and werewolfs.
Wusses!
Last week, Cinemark Theaters removed the trailer from its moviehouses in Texas, where it had been playing to sold-out audiences before the start of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse. The new teaser for the upcoming thriller sequel Paranormal Activity 2 has been pulled from dozens of theaters in the Lonestar State following complaints from frightened moviegoers, who cry that the sneak peek is simply too scary to endure.
The buzzed-about trailer opens with footage from the first Paranormal Activity movie, including a man being thrown towards the camera. New scenes show a baby in a crib and a dog barking at a mysterious figure, along with rocking chairs moving on their own.
The original Paranormal Activity rose to fame thanks to a word of mouth campaign on the social network. The Paramount Pictures film — which costs just $15,000 to produce — grossed over $193 million at the worldwide box office.
Paranormal Activity 2 opens everywhere on Oct. 22
We’re pretty easily flustered when it comes to horror flicks, but we don’t even see anything remotely scary about this teaser. Decide for yourself…..
