Jason Stackhouse is going “Helter Skelter.”
Often-shirtless actor Ryan Kwanten is going from True Blood to bloodthirsty as he gears up to play murderous cult leader Charles Manson in the upcoming biopic The Family. The Australian actor is best known for playing Jason Stackhouse on Showtime’s vampire-themed smash, but he’s been cast as the convicted killer in a forthcoming film project to be directed by Brad Anderson.
Manson is serving a life prison sentence for seven counts of murder and one of conspiracy to commit murder after masterminding a killing spree that terrified Los Angeles as the leader of the Manson Family in 1969.
A release for The Family has not been set.
