Talent is as talent does and when it comes to “America’s Got Talent,” there is plenty to go around. It’s right there in the title of the show. And while this season has seen many competitors come through and blow away the judges and crowd, it’s the ones like 14-year-old Jayna Brown that get some extra special attention.

Last week, we saw the young singer take the stage and shed her nerves with a Golden Buzzer-winning performance of Audra Day’s “Rise Up.” During Tuesday’s (July 26) episode, Brown upped her game for the live show with a cover of Ed Sheeran’s “Make It Rain.” While no real water fell on the stage — save those antics for Justin Bieber — it was quickly evident that Brown doesn’t need much in regards to stage theatrics to move the crowd.

What makes her performance even more incredible is the fact that Jayna and her mother are currently homeless. Whichever way the “AGT” ball bounces, we have a feeling the Browns will land on their feet.

“America’s Got Talent” continues Wednesday, August 27 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
