And the Oscar goes to….The nominees for the 2011 Academy Awards were announced at the Goldwyn Theater in Hollywood early Tuesday. King’s Speech — a drama about the British monarchy — leads with 12 nods. The box office-winning western True Grit came in a close second; earning 10 nominations, including acting honors for last year’s Best Actor winner Jeff Bridges and pint-sized newcomer Hailee Steinfeld.

The star-studded 83rd Annual Oscars — hosted by James Franco and Anne Hathaway — will be televised live on ABC from Hollywood’s Kodak Theatre on Feb. 27.
