Pelosi told The Washington Post that she had agreed to appear in a cameo role for the final episode of the critically acclaimed NBC comedy. “I would do almost anything Tina Fey asks me to do,” Pelosi said. “I’m flattered that they asked me to make a cameo in the series finale. I had a lot of fun.”
The congresswoman from California is not the only announced guest star for the Jan. 31 series finale — Ice-T and Julianne Moore will also appear in the episode filmed early in December. There is no information on any of the guest stars’ roles or whether there will be any additional actors (or politicians) coming to say goodbye to the comedy. Earlier episodes of “30 Rock” have featured Al Gore, Condoleeza Rice and Michael Bloomberg.
Pelosi is no stranger to television. She regularly gives televised interviews to hosts from Charlie Rose to Jay Leno to Ellen DeGeneres. In addition, Pelosi once served as a guest judge when “Top Chef” spent a season in Washington, DC.
