This just in: New York Yankees slugger Alex Rodriquez will make his cinema debut early next year with an appearance in Friends With Benefits, an ensemble comedy starring Justin Timberlake and Mila Kunis, Variety said Tuesday.

While details on just what role the revered third baseman will be taking are still up in the air, A-Rod is certainly no stranger to the acting world. After all, he’s been romantically-linked to some of Tinseltown’s most beautiful women, including Kate Hudson and GF of the Hour Cameron Diaz.
Friends, directed by Will Cluck, follows two friends who leave bad relationships and end up rebounding with one another. The cast will also feature Woody Harrelson, Patricia Clarkson, Richard Jenkins, Jenna Elfman, Emma Stone, and Andy Samberg.
Filming begins in the Big Apple later this month.
