Salma Hayek — the producer behind Ugly Betty’s four season run on ABC — has presented The Alphabet Network with a comedy adaptation of yet another Spanish-language meldrama.

Hayek struck gold when she brought the global telenovela phenomenon of Betty La Fea to the States in the former of the award-winning dramedy Ugly Betty. These days, the actress and her business partner Jose Tamez are hoping lightening will strike the same place twice after selling an adaptation of the Argentinian fish-out-of-water soap Los Roldan to ABC through their production company, Ventanarosa.

The show — which has already reformatted in Colombia, Mexico, and Cyprus — follows a blue-collar guy who is hired to run the multimillion-dollar business of the woman whose life he saves.
