Singer Aubrey O’Day is returning to her roots in reality TV after landing her own docu-soap on Oxygen, The Hollywood Reporter said Tuesday.
The former lead vocalist of Bad Boy’s all-girl band Danity Kane was discovered in 2004 as part of MTV’s hit reality series Making the Band only to be fired after a falling out with producer Diddy four years later. In the years since watching Danity Kane fall apart, O’Day has appeared in Broadway’s Hairspray, stripped down to her birthday suit for Playboy, and hit the Las Vegas stage for a turn in Burlesque.
Now she’s ready to lodge a comeback on the chart. Oxygen’s The Aubrey O’Day Project will chronicle her attempt to reinvent herself in the music industry while working with a team of determined industry professionals.
The show is expected to premiere this fall.
