According to US Weekly, the 23-year-old actress dined with Leonardo DiCaprio and director Luhrman in New York to discuss a possible part in the adaptation, reports the Herald Sun.
DiCaprio has been cast in the lead role of Jay Gatsby in the project based on the great American novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald.
Several Hollywood starlets are reportedly gunning for the role of Daisy including Scarlett Johansson, Natalie Portman, Keira Knightley and Michelle Williams, according to Deadline.
