We hear Oscar-nominated actor Brad Pitt is reportedly in talks to produce and star in a biopic about the life of Beatle legend John Lennon.

Pitt — who earned an Academy Award nod for his 2008 drama The Curious Life of Benjamin Button — is believed to have received the “blessing” of Lennon’s widow, Yoko Ono, to star as her slain husband after impressing her with his plans to learn to sing and master Lennon’s Liverpool accent.

“Brad already has a writer working on the script. And Yoko has given the project her blessing so long as it’s true to John’s life,” an industry snoop revealed to Britain’s Daily Star this month. “Brad wants to do all the singing himself and plans to take voice lessons. If he can’t pull it off they’ll use John’s own voice,” the spywitness adds.

No director has been named for the project based on the “Imagine” hitmaker, who was shot outside his Manhattan apartment by crazed fan Mark Chapman in 1980.
