Rocker-turned-reality star Bret Michaels will host the 2010 Miss Universe pageant alongside TODAY Show anchor Natalie Morales later this month, Access Hollywood dished on Friday.
The former Poison frontman dominated the headlines last spring after suffering a near fatal brain aneurysm only to battle back and win the third season of NBC’s Celebrity Apprentice mere weeks later.
The Miss Universe Organization is owned by Apprentice boss Donald Trump — which undoubtedly played a role in Bret’s big hosting gig.
The 2010 Miss Universe Pageant will air live from Las Vegas on NBC and Telemundo on Aug. 23. This year, Miss USA Rima Fakih of Michigan, 24, will represent America in the run for the title.
