Carey Mulligan hails a cab in New York City’s East Village after a performance of her Off-Broadway play, Through a Glass Darkly, on Sunday (June 5).
The 26-year-old English actress carried a blue yoga mat with her as she headed home.
Carey recently chatted with Playbill about her role in the play, which is an adaptation of Ingmar Bergman’s Oscar-winning film.
“When I’m playing Karin, I’m not focusing on her illness but on what she wants and how it comes out in her makeup,” Carey explained.
“She wants to be loved, she wants her family to be happy, she wants people to be kind to each other. It’s a play about someone struggling with the fact the world isn’t always kind and people aren’t always good,” Carey added.
