New Movie Releases DVD

It served as a soundtrack when the Yankees won the World Series. It even replaced Frank Sinatra’s classic “New York, New York” at the Preakness. Now Glee’s own New Directions has recorded a cover of Jay-Z and Alicia Keys’ award-winning Big Apple anthem, “Empire State of Mind.”

The cast of Glee appeared on Sirius Radio Tuesday morning, where they shed their inestimable awesomeness on the Jigga/A. Keys hit single, covering the monster smash for listeners of The Morning Mash Up. If you missed it on the airwaves, keep an eye out for the show’s Sept. 21 Season 2 opener, which will feature the performance in all its glory.
