CBS isn’t exactly known for taking risks, instead relying on a steady diet of procedurals, laugh-track comedies, and reality competition programs where the prize isn’t another contestant. That strategy has paid off as CBS annually gets to wear a sash that reads “America’s Most-Watched Network.”

Risk-aversion is retained in the network’s announcement of next season’s premiere dates, which doesn’t feature anything too interesting to talk about and forces me to write a throwaway paragraph about how CBS doesn’t like taking risks. I’d say I’ve wasted enough of both our time, so let’s get on to the dates.
