Say hello to Ali Larter! The actress, fashion plate and new mom was in Chicago Thursday to celebrate Fashion’s Night Out at the 900 N. Michigan Avenue Shops, greeting style-savvy Midwesterners during a runway show. She was kind enough to give us an exclusive, inside look at her evening; read all about it below. Fashion’s Night Out is one of my favorite fashion nights of the year, and I could not be more thrilled to be in Chicago for it. Not only is it one of my favorite cities, but [my husband] Hayes‘s parents also live here so it became a big family affair for us.
After a baby Teddy cry-free flight from L.A. on Wednesday night, I started out Thursday finding a dress to wear for the big night with Chicago stylist Eric Himel.
There were two beautiful options that I fell in love with, so setting my need to choose aside, I joined my mother-in-law for a bit of pampering at Exhale Spa in the Gold Coast, the downtown area of Chicago which is bustling with energy, amazing stores and restaurants.

Back at my in-laws’ and time to make the big decision on what to wear … tick-tock, tick-tock. I still couldn’t decide, and then Eric brought me these unbelievably stunning Sidney Garber earrings in chalcedony, which perfectly complemented this navy A-line Alaïa dress. The decision was made, I strapped on my Burberry heels and I was off to host the party at the 900 Shops.
While there, Hayes and I caught up with some wonderful Chicagoans including Bears defensive linemen Julius Peppers (left) and Israel Idonije. Go Bears!
We saw a great fashion show which included lots of blacks and burgundy. Fall fashion has definitely arrived — and I couldn’t be more excited about what’s in store this season.
It was a great day and night of fashion, football and family. Thanks, Chicago!
