Of course, Christmas at Rockefeller Plaza didn’t go off without a hitch.
Susan Boyle was performing the Christmas carol “O Holy Night” on The View yesterday when she just stopped mid-song and a similar flub hit last night’s Christmas tree-lighting ceremony when Flipina singing star Charice took the stage to belt out “Jingle Bell Rock” with accompanyist David Foster. As Foster waited for the teen to beging singing, the soundtrack for the previous song featuring Boyz II Men began playing, revealing that they band best known for their ’90s hits like “Motown Philly” and “A Song for Mama” had been lip-syncing (with a little holiday swing) to a music track instead of performing live.
