Charo On Lady Gaga: “Like Madonna With Diarrhea!”

It’s safe to assume Lady Gaga won’t be recording a remake of “Chuci-Chuci” anytime soon!

Heavily-accented ’70s star Charo joined Grace Jones and classic Madonna fans on “Team Anti-Gaga” this week when she comically slammed music’s “It Girl” of the Hour during a promotional appearance on Good Day New York Thursday.

“I see Lady Gaga like Madonna with diarrhea,” quipped the former Surreal Life star — who, in her heyday, made more than 45 appearances on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson and guest starred on The Love Boat nearly a dozen.

In her choppy English, Charo praised Gaga’s ability as a vocalist and pianist, but blasted the “Born This Way” hitmaker for being a caricature of pop princesses past.

“The voice is gifted because she is so powerful with the voice…but why does she have to remind people of Madonna? Why don’t she go her own self? I never copy nobody. I was me and I created something that was me. I can not feel comfortable being a copy of other people.”

We wonder if Gaga will incorporate Charo’s criticism into her next red carpet look!
