Funnygal Chelsea Handler has inked a deal with NBC to turn her first book of anecdotes and essays — The New York Times Bestseller Are You There, Vodka? It’s Me, Chelsea — into a semi-autobiographical weekly sitcom inspired by the Chelsea Lately comedienne’s life as a struggling twentysomething.

“The compilations of humorous essays about Handler’s everyday life, family, friends and romantic/sexual relationships will also be used as source material for stories in the TV project,” DeadlineHollywood.com reported Wednesday.
The Vodka project is still in pre-production, but it’s never too early to start shooting out some early casting favorites!
Any suggestions?
