The researchers and analysts who take care of cyber security have found a spy network in China called “Shadow Network” which used to hack important Indian government documents along with the sensitive data from the office of Dalai Lama’s and the UN.
China is suspected to own a Cyber Warfare Doctrine which is developed with an aim to accomplish global “electronic dominance” by the year 2050. it has been allotted with an yearly budget of $55 million where around 10,000 hackers are working as a team. After US, China holds the second position in cyber hacking.
From the latest information it has been very clear that the Chinese hackers targeted the forthcoming Indian Commonwealth games. They planned to fail the Commonwealth games this year. The clever plans were studying the network architecture of the Commonwealth games IT infrastructure that includes ticket sales, online registration servers that were planned to crash at the moment of inaugural ceremony.
India earlier also has been trapped by Chinese hackers in 2008 and 2009 when around 450 computers of Indian Ministry of External Affairs were attacked that included National Security Adviser (NSA) M.K. Narayanan and Deputy NSA Shekhar Dutt and the chiefs of the navy, army and air force besides officials in the defense intelligence agencies.
