Overstreet — who previously guest-starred on an episode of the Nickelodeon hit iCarly — has been cast as New Directions crooner Sam on the forthcoming second season of the hit Fox series. Sam is described as a McKinley High School athlete who joins the Glee Club after befriending Finn’s (Corey Monteith).
With a name like Chord, it was only a matter of time before this kid started lifting his voice in musicals.
Overstreet will join new cast additions Dot Jones and Charice when Glee returns to television in September.
