A Delhi court Friday upheld the complaint filed by Janata Party president Subramanian Swamy holding former communications minister A. Raja as an accused in the 2G spectrum scam.

The court, however, said that Subramanian Swamy should record his statement as a complainant before a decision can be taken on his plea to be appointed the public prosecutor to prosecute Raja.

Subramanian Swamy had submitted the request in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court stating that Raja should be summoned in the scam under the Prevention of Corruption Act.

He also wanted to be appointed the public prosecutor and official agencies like the CBI and Enforcement Directorate to assist him.

DMK leader Raja has been accused of selling spectrum at a price lower than the market rate, costing the exchequer huge losses.
