Acid-tongued advice columnist Dan Savage has inked a deal to bring his signature brand of sassy expertise on sexuality and sexual health to the airwaves of MTV.
The still-untitled show, premiering later this year, will follow Savage as he answers questions about sex and relationships from a live audience during his routine speaking tours at college campuses across the United States
The scoop, which was first reported by Entertainment Weekly on Monday, comes just a year after plans to bring a similar show starring Savage to HBO fell by the wayside.
The side-splitting sexpert is perhaps best known for penning the nationally-syndicated and works as the longtime editorial director of The Stranger, an alternative newspaper based in Seattle. In 2010, Savage — who is openly-gay and the adoptive dad of a son — created the “It Gets Better” campaign to inspire young people who are facing harassment and bullying because of their sexuality.
