Demian Bichir has signed on to join Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCarthy in the upcoming comedy from
Bridesmaids director Paul Feig, now titled The Heat.
Deadline reports that the
Savages star will play an FBI agent.
In the film, Bullock’s character, also working with the FBI, forms an uneasy partnership with McCarthy’s Boston police officer.

Bichir can also be seen in the upcoming Machete Kills and will immediately move into production on The Heat, taking advantage of McCarthy’s “Mike and Molly” hiatus.
