Dwayne Johnson, who can currently be seen in theaters in Fast Five , is set to star in and produce a biopic of black country music star Charley Pride, reports Variety .
Producing with Johnson are Dany Garcia, Randy Jackson and Pride’s manager John Daines in association with Sony ATV Music Publishing.
Country Music Hall of Famer Pride has charted more than three dozen No. 1 singles and has sold more than 70 million records.
