Say Sayanora to E!’s Daily 10!
The nightly Entertainment Television program — featuring anchors Sal Masekela and Catt Sadler — has been cancelled after five seasons amid a brewing controversy over an on-air homophobic comment correspondent Michael Catherwood allegedly made about openly-gay singer Adam Lambert following the star’s run-in with the paparazzi earlier this month. Masekela seemed to stand by Catherwood during the brohuahua. Even sending out this Tweet in his defense.
But after receiving complaints and death threats from angry viewers, Michael apologized for his off-color remark. The pop culture pundit insists it was merely a poorly-executed joke, but it appears the damange has already been done.
Sadler confirmed news of the cancellation on her Twitter account last week.
“I was resisting urge to tweet @ D10 cancellation. Hard to sum up 4 1/2 yrs in 140 characters. Devoted fans deserve more. Blog Forthcoming! X…”
