CSI: Miami star Eddie Cibrian has issued a public appeal to his estranged wife, former model Brandi Glanville, to stop “rehashing” his cheating scandal with LeAnn Rimes in the press, insisting her bitter comments make it “more difficult for everyone to heal.”
Despite the fact that both were married, Cibrian began a romantic relationship with the country songbird –his Northern Lights co-star — on the set of their Lifetime TV movie in 2009. Cibrian is calling on Glanville her to move on from the scandal for the sake of their young sons.
LeAnn split from her husband Dean Sheremet last fall and Cibrian is in the middle of a sticky divorce battle with Glanville.
He tells E! News: “As I’ve said before, my children and their well-being are my number one priority. I can’t change the past and I’m truly sorry that people got hurt along the way but not everything reported in the media is reality and continuing to rehash things publicly only makes it more difficult for everyone to heal. I hope for the sake of our children we can all move forward and heal privately. I wish their mother nothing but the best.”
Last week, Rimes — who has filed a cease-and-desist notice, accusing Glanville of defamation of character — told PEOPLE that she is disturbed by people who brand she and Eddie “homewreckers.”
