As if seeing New Edition reunite after 30 years isn’t enough, fans of hip-hop and R&B can catch a slew of other stellar old – and newer – musicians’ performances over fourth of July weekend at the Essence Music Festival.
From start to finish of the three-day event, power acts like Usher, Kanye West, Chaka Khan and Boyz II Men will grace one of five stages for guests of the New Orleans-based celebration.
Each night, artists start at around 7:00 P.M. and end at approximately 11:30 P.M. Other acts at the event include Jennifer Hudson, Naughty by Nature, Trey Songz, Mary J. Blige and MC Lyte.
