The sexiest sixtysomething on this side of The Atlantic is going to be a mother-in-law.
Actress Eva Amurri – the 25-year-old daughter of veteran screen star Susan Sarandon and Italian director Franco Amurri – Tweeted news of her engagement to soccer player/ESPN commentator Kyle Martino over the weekend. The couple are set to tie the knot after Kyle popped the question last week.
“The most wonderful man on this planet is now my FIANCEE #Engaged! (sic),” the ecstatic Californication star wrote. “What a week. I became a cartoon character, did a Maxim shoot, and got engaged! Lol. Not bad, not bad. Thanks for all the congrats!! Xoxo (sic).”
Kyle later chimed in with: “Thanks to all my Tweeps for the comments and best wishes for Eva and I. We are so happy and can’t wait to set the date.”
Now if we could only find a man for Eva’s mom: Sarandon told Entertainment Weekly this April that she is dating and is anxious to find love.
“Whatever happens next in terms of romance and partners, I don’t know. But it’s exhilarating and terrifying.”
