From the streets of Wisteria Lane to the pages of Marvel Comics: We hear Desperate Housewives stunner Eva Longoria-Parker is in chats to make her superhero debut as The Wasp in the eagerly-awaited ensemble box office blockbuster The Avengers.
“Marvel is in negotiations with Eva and she is just right for the role,” a Hollywood tipster squealed to FOX News this week. “First, she read for the part, then she went into the studio for camera tests. The team liked her for The Wasp so much that she did green screen work in the late spring. She’s perfect in size and attitude. Eva is cute, sexy and full of energy for the part. The character is a bit like Gabby, her character on ‘Desperate Housewives.’”
Current Marvel stars Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Chris Evans (Captain America: The First Avenger), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Scarlett Johansson (Iron Man 2’s Black Widow), and recently-cast Mark Ruffalo (The Hulk) are expected to reprise their superhero roles when The Avengers opens in theaters in the Summer of 2012.
