The famous director Ashutosh Gowariker who’s ‘Jodha Akbar’ was a huge hit is all set to begin a hunt to search an actor for his next venture who can play the role of Buddha.
The interesting fact about this search is that the hunt across the world will be online that is the director will conduct the audition on the Internet.
Confirming the news, Ashutosh said, “I welcome actors from all over the world to visit our website, download the sample scenes and upload your audition videos along with pictures.”
The movie focuses on the life of Prince Siddhartha and his journey from Siddhartha to become Buddha.
Ashutosh added, “To portray the innocence of Prince Siddhartha and the compassion of the ‘enlightened one’, I am looking for a fresh face. And hence, this worldwide search.”
