Entertainment Weekly has revealed the first official photo of Oscar winner Daniel Day-Lewis (
My Left Foot,
There Will Be Blood) as Lincoln in Steven Spielberg’s anticipated November 9 release.
The film is based on the best-selling book “Team of Rivals,” by Pulitzer Prize-winning historian Doris Kearns Goodwin. With a screenplay by Tony Kushner, the film will focus on the political collision of Lincoln and the powerful men of his cabinet on the road to abolition and the end of the Civil War.
