The FOX network has announced its regular-season finale dates and its summer-season premiere dates. Shows like “Bones” and “The Following” will end their seasons in April, with most other programs (including “Glee,” “American Idol” and “New Girl”) following in May. Summer programming like “So You Think You Can Dance” will mostly premiere in May.
There will be a few new summer programs premiering on the network. “Does Someone Have to Go?” premieres on Wednesday, May 15. On the program, bosses will turn over the running of a company to the employees, giving them the power to make decisions. As a result, some of the employees may have to fire their co-workers.
“The Goodwin Games” is FOX’s scripted offering this summer. This family comedy focuses on a set of siblings who will inherit millions of dollars if they can follow their late father’s eccentric wishes. Scott Foley, Becki Newton and T.J. Miller star in this series premiering on Monday, May 20.
In July, FOX will get experimental with its “Animation Domination High-Def” cartoon block. Animated series included in this group will run for 15 minutes each and will premiere on Saturday, July 27. The late-night cartoons include “Axe Cop,” “High School USA!,” an untitled project from The Lucas Brothers, and “Golan the Insatiable.”
