Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton come as a package deal, apparently.

Stefani performed at President Barack Obama‘s final State Dinner in Washington, D.C., Tuesday night, and she decided to share the stage with Shelton, her boyfriend of a year. Stefani sang some of her solo hits in front of a star-studded audience that included Giorgio Armani, Vice President Joe Biden, Today anchor Savannah Guthrie, First Lady Michelle Obama, singer Frank Ocean, Food Network star Rachael Ray, comedian Jerry Seinfeld, musician James Taylor and John Turturro. Stefani, 47, asked Shelton, 40, to join her in singing their duet, “Go Ahead and Break My Heart.” After her closing set was over, Stefani shook POTUS’ hand.

During the dinner, the pair was seated at the same table, though they were placed at opposite ends. After enjoying a meal prepared by chef Mario Batali, The Voice mentors were seen mingling with chef Sandra Lee and her boyfriend, New York governor Andrew Cuomo.

Earlier that morning, Stefani visited the White House with sons Kingston Rossdale, 10, Zuma Rossdale, 8, and Apollo Rossdale, 2. The family posed for a picture in the Oval Office with the State Dinner’s guests of honor, Italy’s Prime Minister Matteo Renzi and his wife Agnese Landini, as well as with the Obamas. Renzi, 41, shared the group portrait on Facebook.

Suffice to say, Stefani was on cloud nine Tuesday. It all started when NBC’s Today announced that she will be returning to The Voice next season with Alicia Keys, Adam Levine and Shelton. Host Carson Daly later tweeted that “the future is bright,” which brought a smile to Stefani’s face. “I love u!!” Stefani tweeted. “Can’t believe I get to come back?!!” The Voice‘s Twitter account replied, “We’re the lucky ones.” Miley Cyrus will be back for Season 13.

“We can’t wait to experience the unique chemistry and energy Gwen, Alicia, Blake and Adam will bring to season 12,” Paul Telegdy, president of Alternative and Reality Group at NBC Entertainment, said in a statement. “With Miley returning for season 13, we’re truly ecstatic about the unmatched musical know-how and talent coming together in our coming seasons.”

The Voice airs Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on NBC.

(E! and NBC are both members of the NBCUniversal family.)
