She says she was trying to do a good deed when she began dishing out advice to moms on how to balance a career and kids, through her weekly newsletter GOOP, but Country Strong star Gwyneth Paltrow says “mean” feedback from critics of the blog almost caused her to shut the page down completely.

In the March issue of Harper’s Bazaar UK, Paltrow takes a walk on the wild side in a number of animal print fashions. The cover girl fills 10 pages of the “Fashion to Music” issue, wearing ’70s-inspired looks. From a zebra-print onesie, to a slinky leopard dress, the Oscar winner also works it in everything from Louis Vuitton and Tom Ford, to Dolce & Gabbana, and Gucci.

Oh — and she also talks about the often-criticized blogs she writes.

“Any time you do anything with any degree of sincerity, people make fun of you. That’s totally fine. I don’t care. I don’t read any of it. My thing with Goop has always been, if you don’t like it, then don’t log onto it,” she said.

“There were a couple of times when I thought, ‘I’m just gonna stop doing it. People are so mean to me. I don’t want to do it. But then I was like, ‘Who cares what some lame person out there says?’ I was in Italy once, and this old man came up to me and said, ‘I had the best time in Nashville because of Goop.’ And that is so worth it to me.”

Goop critics often gripe that the site is a lifestyle guide for the Average Joe or Jane that reads more like an A-list To-Do List.

Case in Point: Here are a few of Gwyn’s tips and how the price it’ll cost you to emulate them:

1. “I’ve found that having a trainer come to my house on a Monday really motivates me — she’s knocking at the front door so going back to sleep is NOT an option…”

Average cost of an hour-long session with a personal trainer: $60-$70

2. “When I got downstairs this morning at the crack of whenever, the coffee machine said ‘ERROR 8′ and wouldn’t let me make the cup I had been dreaming about. This begs the question: is it odd to dream yourself to sleep thinking about the next morning’s coffee?”

Cost of the Jura Capresso Impressa Z5 Espresso and Coffee Maker: $2,300

3. “I’m currently obsessed with the Tracy Anderson Method and do the Perfect Design DVD three times a week. I even take the DVD traveling!”

Cost of the Perfect Design DVD set: $79.95

The estimated average cost to live just a portion of the GOOP life would top out at approximately 3,606.50 each month, according to a report from ABC News.
