Who will save the cheerleader now? NBC has officially pulled the plug on Heroes, despite speculation that a shortened season would be airing to wrap up the series.
On Friday, the network announced a number of new shows and renewals for the 2010-2011 season, but Heroes is not among them — the four-season superhero show is no more, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The show — which featured Hayden Panettiere, Ali Larter, Milo Ventimiglia, and Dania Ramirez — once a freshman hit, which earned 14.5 million average viewers during its debut season, saw its ratings sink in the past years, with February 8’s season finale drawing only 4.4 million people.
In 2009, Heroes was voted the most pirated show on TV.
