Reality TV celebrity Bret Michaels has denied having an affair with Miley Cyrus” mother, Tish.
The aging rock star made this claim when he appeared on “Fox and Friends.”
“The question is did I or didn”t I,” the New York Daily News quoted him as saying on the show. The answer is no.”
“Here”s the thing, I”ve been friends with [Miley''s] family forever,” he said.
“Her mom, Tish, likes ”Every Rose Has Its Thorn,” and the first concert Miley ever saw was ”Poison,” so they wanted to remake it,” he added.
Michaels, 47, has been under fire since rumors began to swirl that his relationship with Cyrus” mother was about as innocent as the 17-year-old”s controversial red-carpet attire.
According to the original Us Weekly story, the affair began after the teen sensation and the Poison frontman partnered to record their racy duet, “Nothing to Lose.”
Tish, 43, who co-manages her famous daughter”s career, was accused of beginning an unprofessional relationship with Michaels shortly after. The mag claimed the alleged affair even led to Tish and Billy Ray filing for divorce Oct. 27, ending their 17-year marraige.
However, Michaels insists his relationship with the Cyrus family has remained strictly professional.
“Miley came and sang on my song that I wrote,” he said.
“And honestly, she did a beautiful job and that was it. And then they started with all that controversy,” he added.
