Jason Bateman is in discussions to appear opposite Vince Vaughn in the upcoming Universal Pictures comedy The Insane Laws , Deadline reports.

Arriving from writer/director Jeremy Garelick and producer Neal Noritz, the film already has Vince Vaughn attached to star, re-teaming him with Garelick, who co-wrote the 2006 release The Break-Up .

The Insane Laws , based on Garelick’s own life, centers on two best friends whose lives are impacted when their grown children fall in love and one man’s daughter becomes pregnant with his best friend’s son.

Bateman can next be seen in the July 8th comedy Horrible Bosses .
