Jessica Simpson denies ‘flipping out’ about ex-husband’s engagement

Jessica Simpson has dismissed reports that she is “flipping out” about her ex-husband Nick Lachey”s engagement to his girlfriend of four years.

In a radio interview, Simpson said her romance with Lachey had ended long ago and that she was happy he found a new love with TV host Vanessa Minnillo.
“I am extremely, extremely happy for him. I don”t know where those rumors came from,” the New York Post quoted her as saying.
“Our relationship was over a really long time ago, so it would be nice if everyone could move on with us and really just celebrate the love between him and Vanessa.
“I really wish them nothing but the best,” she added.
Simpson and Lachey filed for divorce in December 2005.
Simpson is currently dating former NFL football player Eric Johnson.
