It was a fairytale moment for the oft-unlucky-in-love Simpson when her boyfriend of almost seven months got down on bended knee and popped the question on Nov. 11.
“We’re excited to confirm that Jessica and Eric are engaged,” the star’s rep said a few days later.
But the timing couldn’t have been more curious. The engagement came just a week after Jessica’s first husband, Nick Lachey, announced his plans to wed longtime love Vanessa Minnillo.
