Now here’s a dream casting we’d pay 10 bucks to see, Johnny Depp says he’s willing to make a cameo in the new 21 Jump Street movie!

Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum will headline Columbia Pictures’ big screen reboot of the popular ‘80s TV series, which followed a team of babyfaced rookie cops who work undercover in high schools and colleges. The original TV series ran from 1987 – 1991, starred Depp, Richard Grieco, Holly Robinson Peete, Peter DeLuise, Dustin Nguyen, and Frederic Forest.

When Access Hollywood caught up with Jonah at the junket for his latest film Megamind last month, the jovial actor said he was hopeful that Johnny would make a cameo in the reprisal.

“We wrote a cameo for him, so we hope he does it,” Jonah smiled.

Well, MTV News caught up with Johnny this week, and not only is The Tourist hunk eager to step in front of the camera for the new Jump Street. He’d even be willing to reprise his role as Hanson. He’s just waiting for a formal invitation!

“I’ve said I’m into it, but no one’s actually approached me…I’m in. I’m in,” Depp told MTV. “I think it’d be pretty easy.”

Sounds like the ball’s in your court, Jonah!
