Attention: Beliebers! Canadian pop music star Justin Bieber has selected lensman Jon Chu to direct his upcoming biopic/concert film.
If you haven’t heard already, Bieber Fever will descend on theaters Valentine’s Day Weekend 2011 as the “Baby” hitmaker teams up with Paramount Pictures and Chu for a flick about Biebs life. The movie will include clips from his recent concert tour and insight to his life as a young popstar phenomenon. Not to mention, it’s in 3D!
Bieber, who launched his career after becoming a YouTube sensation, teased the announcement on Twitter last week.
Bieber Tweeted: “This TOUR is INCREDIBLE!! Only problem is this guy keeps following me show to show. @jonmchu why r u following me dude?”
Chu responded with his own Tweet: “Yo @justinbieber. …You think we should give them the big news?”
Chu is best known for stepping behind the camera for the dance hit Step Up 3D.
