Anne Hathaway and Julie Andrews — who shared the silver screen in the hit Disney comedies The Princess Diaries and The Princess Diaries 2 nearly a decade ago — are in negotiations to appear as mother-and-daughter on an upcoming episode of Glee, if a report featured in the Jan. 3 issue of The National Enquirer is to believed.

“…Chris has stepped up efforts to get Julie on the show and has come up with the idea of reuniting her with her Princess Diaries co-star Anne Hathaway,” The Enquirer writes.

Dame Julie — who is still mourning the pneumonia-related death of her husband of 41 years, Breakfast at Tiffany’s director Blake Edwards — is also said to be in talks to play the grandmother of Chris Colfer’s gay character Kurt Hummel, while Oscar-nominated actress Hathaway, 28, is reportedly close to signing on to play his lesbian aunt!

“Could you imagine a family with myself, Mike O’Malley (Kurt’s dad), Julie Andrews, and Anne Hathaway? That’s one helluva family,” Colfer was reportedly overheard saying in a chat with castmates.

During an appearance on NBC’s Late Night with Jimmy Fallon last month, Anne admitted that she’s such a Gleek, she’s already created a guest part for herself on the show.

“In my head, I’ve cast myself in Glee and I know what song I’m going to sing! I would wanna play Kurt’s long-lost aunt’s mother’s sister who is also gay, who comes back to help him deal with his sexuality, and I would sing You Are Not Alone from Stephen Sondheim’s epic show Into the Woods.”
