'Justice League' Concept Art Reveals Amber Heard as Mera, the Queen of Atlantis
Justice League is going to have a lot of characters in it. That just goes with the territory when it comes to superhero movies these days. The bigger the movie, the more heroes it will have. That’s why we’re now (thanks to IGN) getting our first look at Amber Heard as Mera, Queen of Atlantis and wife of Aquaman.
Don’t let this costume reveal make you think she’s joined the Justice League, though. Her role in the Zack Snyder-directed movie is expected to be rather small. It’s not a leap to imagine just a scene or two of her and Aquaman (Jason Momoa) debating how involved the Atlanteans need to be with the land-bound heroes (and villains). And that’s okay since it’s already known she’ll be a big part of the solo Aquaman movie directed by James Wan.
