Justin Bieber is under investigation for assault by police in his native Canada after the swoon-inducing pop star allegedly assaulted a 12-year-old at a Vancouver laser tag arena. According to new reports, the shoving match begin when the alleged victim in the case began hurling homophobic slurs at Bieber.
The alleged incident comes on the heels of a surge in teen suicide related to anti-gay bashing and hashing.
During the game of laser tag in British Columbia on Friday evening, an overly aggressive player kept targeting Bieber which lead the frustrated singer to tell him: “That’s enough.”
“What are you gonna do about it, f*ggot?” the kid retorted.
“Excuse me?” Bieber, 16, replied in disbelief.
“You’re a f*ggot,” the belligerent player taunted.
At that point, an incensed Bieber shoved the kid out his way and proceeded to leave the arena.
Justin was briefly questioned by cops, but promptly released. Police say they are investigating a claim of assault made by the 12-year-old’s father against Bieber — but a police source tells TMZ.con that investigators do not believe Bieber was at fault.
